While you are in Kathmandu, be prepared for a cultural shock and lots of hustle going on on the streets and main market areas. Kathmandu is a heaven for travel photographers as they can capture abundance of exotic street photographs with unique subjects in every corner.
Early morning before the first light, we head towards Kathmandu Durbar Square for the sunrise photoshoot. We will be capturing the historic monuments and architectures of Hindu temples around Kathmandu Durbar Square also known as Basantapur. The ambience during the early morning is so perfect with people walking for rituals and prayers around the temples, street vendors selling garlands, fruits and vegetables and small tea shops serving tea to their everyday local customers who enjoy sip of tea having a chitchat and reading local newspapers. Photographers will be amazed to see so many things happening all at once and sometimes even get overwhelmed and confused for where to aim their camera provided lots of shots.
During day time, we will visit Boudha and monkey temple for more exotic shots and also to shoot cheeky monkeys and Busshist shrines and monasteries. Later in the evening, we will visit Pashupatinath temple, one of the biggest Hindu temple in Kathmandu and Nepal. Pashupatinath temple is mostly visited by the locals as well as by the Indians as Hindu pilgrims. Photographers can feel different spiritual vibes going on around Pashupatinath and capture beautiful moments of the people and temple itself from outside. You will see the cremation going on in the river flowing aside the Pashupatinath temple.
