About Services

We develop unique tour experiences with an inclusive, mindful, and environmental approach that is led by women. Our tours and workshops will be led by local women with experience engaging with international visitors.

Our tours are developed with the environment in mind, which means we aim to lower our carbon footprint wherever possible. We opt for electric vehicles and public transportation. We have zero plastics on our tours, using reusable materials instead. Finally, we go into our tours with a low-waste mindset.

Our aim is to bring travelers into our community, into our homes, and into our lives. At Explore Hub Nepal, we prioritize staying with local people in homestays and guests’ houses, bringing in an element of cultural exchange. We bring people together for authentic and real conversation.

Finally, we want to ensure that tourism dollars stay in our local communities. This provides the opportunity for economic development and empowerment, especially for women who otherwise might not have any employment opportunities.

To demonstrate these values more specifically, some of our tours are “Ethnic and Heritage food tours”. I have organized a few food tours in the southern part of Nepal and one of the oldest villages in Kathmandu. Travelers can get to know the history of the food in Nepal, learning different local spices and techniques. They will even have the opportunity to cook different tribal and ethnic food. It is like getting back to authentic lifestyles.

Similarly, as Nepal is rich in arts and cultures, the Himalayan art tour is a chance for tourists to learn a new skill. We organize a thangka art workshop, a traditional form of painting that features intricate details and meditative themes. These are unique experiences that most tourists do not have the opportunity to do without local insight and support.

We also contribute to the SDG goals:

It directly contributes to

SDG5-Gender Equality involving and bringing more into the mainstream of the tourism industry

SDG 8- Decent work and economic growth: 10% of every tour and workshop goes to enhance the leadership and entrepreneurship skills of women

SDG 11:Sustainable cities and communities

Our guests will be hosted by a community homestay acquainted with local people. The vehicles that are used will be electric for transport whenever possible

SDG 17-Partnerships for the Goals

We partner with different community homestay networks and women-led enterprises.
